Privacy Policy for Stackfolio
Effective Date: June 3, 2026
Stackfolio (“the App”) is a precious metals portfolio tracker developed by Ibrahim Zakarya (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the App handles and how.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not operate servers that store your personal information. The App does not have user accounts, and we do not collect your name, email address, location, or contacts.
Your portfolio data — including holdings, purchase prices, sale records, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud sync (a premium feature), this data is synchronized through your own iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. We have no access to it.
Information Processed by Third Parties
The App integrates the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Firebase (Google LLC)
We use the following Firebase services:
- Firebase Firestore — delivers real-time precious metal spot prices to the App (read-only; no personal data is uploaded).
- Firebase Remote Config — delivers feature configuration (such as whether ads are enabled).
- Firebase Analytics — collects aggregated, anonymized usage and diagnostic data to help us understand how the App is used and improve it (e.g., screen views, app launches, crashes, device model, OS version, approximate region).
Firebase may collect technical data such as IP address and device identifiers as part of standard request handling and analytics. We do not use Firebase Analytics data for advertising. Privacy policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google AdMob (Google LLC)
For users on the free tier, the App displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Identifier for Advertisers) and usage data to serve and measure ads. If applicable law requires consent (e.g., GDPR), the App presents a Google-provided consent form before personalized ads are shown.
Premium subscribers do not see ads, and AdMob is not used for them.

Apple StoreKit
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple handles payment, billing, and subscription management. We receive only the entitlement status (whether you have an active subscription) — we do not see your payment details.

Apple iCloud (optional)
If you enable iCloud sync, your portfolio data is stored in your personal iCloud account and synced across your devices via CloudKit. This data resides in your iCloud account, not ours.

Premium subscribers: no advertising identifiers are processed.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your Choices
- Ads: Subscribe to Premium to disable ads entirely. You can also limit ad tracking system-wide in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- iCloud sync: You can enable or disable iCloud sync at any time from the App’s Settings screen.
- Local data: Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored data. To remove iCloud-synced data, sign out of iCloud or delete the App’s iCloud data via iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Effective Date” above.
